We're family-run, independently owned, and committed to regenerative orchard practices and small-batch craft. We don't make cider to get rich. We make it because we're obsessed with producing the best damn cider from the best damn place in the world.

Our Ciders
The Core - Okanagan Apple Cider
Our flagship expression. Clean, crisp, fruit-forward, and unapologetically semi-dry. Made from estate-grown and locally-sourced cider apples, triple-filtered for clarity, and fermented to dryness. The foundation of everything we do.
Character: Bright apple, balanced acidity, dry finish
Pairs with: Pizza, roasted chicken, sharp cheddar, popcorn
Unhazy Hopped - Hopped Cider
Dry-hopped for citrus and tropical aromatics, filtered to crystal clarity. Not a hazy IPA. Not a beer trend. Just hopped cider done our way.
Character: Citrus, tropical fruit, bright and refreshing
Pairs with: Spicy food, Thai cuisine, fish tacos, grilled salmon
Bad Raspberry - Raspberry Cider
Bold, tart, unapologetic. Made with real raspberry purée—not syrup, not extract. Vibrant fruit-forward character that demands attention.
Character: Tart raspberry, bright acidity, bold fruit
Pairs with: BBQ, pulled pork, brie, dark chocolate
Strawberry Ciderita - Strawberry Lemon Cider
Bright, tart, refreshing. Tastes like a margarita with cider structure. Made with real strawberry purée and lemon. Your new patio go-to.
Character: Strawberry, lemon, tart and refreshing
Pairs with: Seafood, ceviche, goat cheese salad, lemon desserts
Black Hole - Barrel-Aged Blackberry Cider
Our most contemplative expression. Aged in neutral oak barrels with blackberry for months, developing deep oxidative character. Wine-like complexity with layers of honey, baked apple, tannin, and dark fruit.
Character: Oxidative, complex, wine-like
Pairs with: Mushroom dishes, braised meats, blue cheese, chocolate cake
Barrel Proof - Whiskey Barrel Cider
Bold, barrel-forward, unapologetic. Aged in fresh-dumped whiskey barrels, absorbing oak, vanilla, caramel, and char. Built for whiskey drinkers who want something different but equally intense.
Character: Oak, vanilla, caramel, char, bold
Pairs with: BBQ brisket, smoked meats, aged cheddar, pecan pie
Brand Story
Hardcore Cider Co. didn't start in a boardroom. It started in an orchard, with years of batch trials, failed experiments, and hard-earned lessons about what works and what doesn't.
We tested apple varieties that couldn't handle the Okanagan climate. We tried fermentation techniques that produced off-flavours. We aged ciders in the wrong barrels. We crossed off brand varieties that might have sold but didn't meet our standards. Every mistake taught us something. Every failed batch made us better.
By the time we went commercial in 2025, we'd already made most of the mistakes. We knew exactly what we wanted to make: premium craft cider with uncompromising standards. Real fruit. Triple filtration. Barrel aging. Wine-like precision. No shortcuts.
Our first commercial year was about establishing our fingerprint in the category—not chasing trends, not copying other cideries, just making cider the way we believed it should be made. The response proved we were right.
We're not trying to be the biggest cidery. We're trying to be the best. And that means working within our limits: limited tank capacity, limited barrel inventory, limited orchard acreage, and one harvest per year. When something sells out, it's not a marketing tactic—it's the reality of small-batch craft.
We're family-run, independently owned, and all in. This isn't a side hustle. It's a craft. And we're committed to making the best damn cider from the best damn place in the world.
The Team
Jeff, Founder & Cidermaker
Jeff founded Hardcore Cider Co. with a mission to prove that cider can compete with wine and craft beer—not mass-market sweet cider. After years of batch trials, orchard management, and learning the hard way what works in the Okanagan Valley, Jeff launched commercially in 2025 with six core expressions that reflect uncompromising quality and wine-like precision.
Based in the Okanagan, Jeff manages orchards in Kelowna and Vernon, sources cider-specific apple varieties like Dabinett and Kingston Black, and oversees every stage of production—from harvest to barrel aging to bottling. His approach is rooted in craft, not compromise: triple filtration for clarity, real fruit purée for flavour, barrel aging for complexity, and regenerative orchard practices for long-term sustainability.
Bad Raspberry, Co-Cidermaker & Quality Control
Bad Raspberry joined Hardcore Cider Co. after a fertilizer spill turned him from a wild Okanagan raspberry into something different—barbed wire vines, a green mohawk, and zero tolerance for shortcuts. After rolling into the cidery and destroying every subpar batch he could find, Jeff threw him an apron: "If you're going to destroy my work, help me make it right."
Now he's official. Bad Raspberry tastes every batch, approves only the best, and destroys anything that doesn't meet standards. He runs security, enforces quality, and handles social media with brutal honesty. His philosophy is simple: real fruit, no compromises, no apologies. If it's not good enough, it doesn't leave the cidery.
Based in the loft above Hardcore Cider Co., Bad Raspberry works alongside George the cidery cat and refuses to take off his leather jacket.
