The Vault: What It Is and How to Get Access
What Is the Vault?
The Vault is our limited release program — small-batch ciders that are too labour-intensive, too experimental, or simply too limited to sell publicly. Batches of 300 litres or less. Ciders that take months of extra work, use rare ingredients, or push the boundaries of what we make in the regular lineup.
The Vault exists because some of the most interesting work we do doesn't fit neatly into a product that can be stocked, restocked, and sold at scale. One harvest per year. Finite fruit. Finite tank space. Some batches are just too small and too special to put on the public store.
So we don't. We reserve them for the people who showed up first.
What Goes into the Vault?
Vault releases aren't defined by a single style or format. They're defined by what makes them impossible to produce at scale. That might mean:
- Rare fruit additions — BC-grown fruit varieties that are only available in small quantities from specific growers, in specific seasons
- Extended barrel aging — expressions that spend significantly longer in oak than our standard barrel-aged lineup, developing complexity that can't be rushed
- Experimental fermentation — techniques or yeast strains we're testing that produce something genuinely different but can't be replicated at volume
- Single-barrel releases — one barrel, one batch, one chance. When it's gone, it's gone permanently
- Collaboration releases — small-batch work with other Okanagan producers, growers, or makers
Every Vault release is numbered, documented, and finite. There are no second runs.
Past Vault Releases
Our raspberry expression — 100% Okanagan apples with fresh BC raspberries added post-fermentation in pressurized tanks — was one of our first Vault releases. Bold, tart, and vibrant. The kind of cider that requires real BC raspberries, precise timing, and a tank that's going to be a serious cleanup afterward. We made it. Members got it. It's gone.
That's the Vault. When it's done, it's done.
How Vault Releases Work
When a Vault release is ready, Cider Club members are notified in advance. The release ships with the next scheduled delivery or as a standalone shipment depending on timing and volume.
Members get guaranteed allocation. Non-members can join a waitlist — but allocation isn't guaranteed, and in most cases there's nothing left by the time the waitlist opens. When you're making 300 litres of something by hand, you take care of the people who committed first.
Vault releases are not listed on the public store. They don't go to retail. They don't appear in the regular lineup. The only way to get them is to be a Cider Club member when they release.
Why We Do This
The Vault isn't a marketing tactic. It's a practical solution to a real constraint.
We make cider from one crop per year. Every litre of juice we press in the fall is the entire year's supply. Some of what we make with that juice is experimental — techniques we're testing, fruit combinations we're exploring, barrel programs that take longer than expected. We can't put those on the public store because we can't guarantee supply, consistency, or restocking.
But we can make them for the people who support us year-round. The Cider Club exists to create a direct relationship between us and the people who drink our cider. The Vault is the most tangible expression of that relationship.
The Only Way to Get Access
Cider Club membership. That's it.
There's no waitlist that reliably delivers. There's no public sale. There's no way to buy your way in after the fact. Vault releases go to members first — and in most cases, exclusively.
The first 50 founding members also lock in $215 per case pricing for life, get free Canada-wide shipping on every delivery, guaranteed allocation of the full lineup, and 10% off all additional purchases. The Vault is one part of a membership that's designed to give serious cider drinkers everything we make — not just what makes it to the public store.
